Of all the focaccia recipes we’ve tried, the Cooks Illustrated version, with grated cooked potato in the dough, has turned out best.

It takes a few minutes to caramelize the sugar with the cinnamon stick, but if this isn’t the best pot of hot chocolate you’ve ever had, I want your recipe.

Made with French lentils that hold their shape when tender, this lentil salad is based on a recipe served by Bouchon, Thomas Keller’s bistro.
